- 2014
Where the work began
According to the company's history, AI work began in 2014 as the business moved from media into social media and encountered challenges including hate-speech detection and stereotype analysis. This is not a claim of commercial AI deployments from 2014.
- 2019
First AI project
The company's owner identifies 2019 as the year of its first AI project. Research from this period includes Arabic language classification work affiliated with Trafalgar AI.
- 2020
Published Arabic NLP research
The paper “Hate Speech Detection of Arabic Shorttext” documents data collection, human annotation, Arabic preprocessing and model comparison. It is attributed to its named authors and Trafalgar AI, rather than retroactively presented as an independently verified achievement of the current legal entity.
